ONE IS THE LONELIEST NUMBER

Little Owl, Netherlands - Initially, this nest had 4 beautiful little owlets, but due to food shortage, 3 of them died, leaving this little one all by himself. However, he is 35 days old and has been banded, so they know that he is a good weight and has strong wings. It won't be long before he leaves the nest.

This nestbox has a nice entrance for the owlet to 'hang out', giving him time to ponder life outside the nest. ;)
