The Texas Barn Owls are starting to look less like aliens and more like owls! Notice how the faces are starting to look less pointy and more disc shaped.
I'm thinking that the owlet in the front is the youngest. Its face is still fairly pointy and it has more downy feathers than its siblings.
Barn Owls fledge in about 7 - 7.5 weeks. These owls are only a couple of weeks away from fledging!
It's always appreciated when your sibling preens an area you just can't reach.
It's always entertaining to watch the owls - their ability to rotate their head in all sorts of awkward positions is fascinating.
